Asbury Men's Club meets the 3rd Sunday of each month at 7:15 am  for a great breakfast, fellowship, followed by a devotional. All men of the church are automatically members of the Club. Come and join us!

UMM Father’s Day Breakfast and Welcome Reception for Matt Lewis and Family
June 8, 2009

Sunday, June 21st we will gather in the Fellowship Hall for two very important events!
The United Methodist Men will host a Family Pancake Breakfast on this day for the church family to casually drop by between 9-10:30am. Donations will be accepted for the breakfast. All proceeds will go towards United Methodist Men projects.

We will also welcome our new Associate Pastor and family. Please plan to meet Matt and Barbin Lewis and their two young boys at this time. They look forward to this time of fellowship with their new church home.  We will also have a blood drive in the Youth room that day.

May Men's Breakfast - Rev. Katie McKay, Speaker
May 6, 2009

The Asbury Men's Club monthly breakfast will be on Sunday, May 17th at 7:15 am.  Our own Rev. Katie McKay will be our speaker.  This will be Katy's last time to attend our monthly breakfast as she will be leaving in June for 1st UMC in Baton Rouge.  All men of the church are automatically members of the Club.  Come and join us in fellowship, enjoy a great breakfast and a hear a great devotional by Katy.  All are welcome.

 



District BBQ Cook-OFF

 The 5th Annual BBQ Cook-Off will be held at Lakeview UMC Shreveport.   Judging will begin at 10:30AM
Meals will be served 12:00PM - 1:30PM
Tickets will be available from any UMM member
Awards will be  presented at the District Meeting:  July 30th

Children's Fishing Rodeo
April 19, 2009
The Asbury Men's Club will sponsor the annual Children's Fishing Rodeo.  Meet us at the Jerry Sheppard Memorial Pavilion behind the church at 5:00 pm for hot dogs.  Rodeo begins at Martin pond at the Prayer Garden behind the church at 5:45 pm and continues until 6:15 pm.  Awards for our "Fish Winners" will be presented at 6:15.  All preschoolers thru 5th grade are invited to participate.  A parent must accompany your child!  Sign up in the lobby.


Men's Breakfast - Bob Griffin Guest Speaker
April 15, 2009

The Asbury Men's Club monthly breakfast will be held this Sunday, April 19th at 7:15 am.  Radio and television personality Bob Griffin will deliver the devotion at this Men’s Club Breakfast.  His uplifting positive message is one every person will want to hear.  All men of the church are automatically members of the Club.  Come and join us in fellowship, enjoy a great breakfast and lets welcome Bob Griffin with a large turnout.  Ladies and children are also invited to attend.

UMM Training and Retreat
March 25, 2009
Bishop Hutchinson and District Superintendent Dan Cain will be participating in the UMMen Training and Retreat at the Wesley Center in Woodworth on April 17-18 and would like for every church to be represented.
