 District Methodist Men 4th Annual BBQ May 2, 2008 The Shreveport District Methodist Men's Club 4th annual BBQ will be held at St. Luke's UMC in Shreveport on Saturday, May 31st from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. UMM District Meeting and New District Web page May 2, 2008 The next District meeting and new officier installation will be held on Thursday, May 29th at 6 pm at First UMC Bossier City. The Shreveport District UMM has a new web page. Check it out by clicking on the logo on the right side of this page. Children's Fishing Rodeo - Fun For The Whole Family March 31, 2008 On Sunday May 5th, the Men's Club will sponsor the Children's Fishing Rodeo from 5:00-6:30pm at Asbury Martin Pond. Contest is for children's 12 and under (preschool thru 1st grade must have a parent present). All participants need to bring your fishing equipment ready to go. The Men's Club will provide ribbons & trophies for several different winners - biggest fish, ugliest fish, smallish fish etc. The Men's Club will be cooking hamburgers & hotdogs with all the trimmings. The Men's Quartet will be singing and this will be a fun family day. Please sign up in the lobby if your child is participating. The first 40 to sign up will receive a t-shirt.
